Stainless Steel Type 304H Sheets are a higher carbon variant of 304 Stainless Steel Sheets that provide greater strength at higher temperatures. These 304H stainless steel sheets are commonly used for structural and pressure-containing purposes.
Applications of Stainless Steel 304 sheet:
1) Stainless steel 304H sheets are very ductile and easy to shape, which helps to
increase alloy strength and hardness
2) Most common welding procedures are used to join stainless steel 304H
sheets.
3) Stainless steel 304H sheets are thought to operate consistently even in the most
corrosive situations.
4) Outstanding oxidation resistance in intermittent operation at temperatures as
high as 870° C and continuous service at temperatures as high as 920° C.
5) Continuous use of SS 304H sheets in the 425-860°C range is not recommended if
subsequent aqueous corrosion resistance is required.
6) Because the Stainless Steel 304H sheet has greater strength at higher
temperatures, it is frequently utilized in structural and pressure-containing
applications at temperatures exceeding 500°C and up to 800°C.
7) Optimum operating temperatures are 1652-2102 degrees Fahrenheit.
8) SS 304H has superior short and long-term creep strength and is much more
resistant to desensitization than SS 304L at temperatures over 500 ° C.
